Palette Redefined – Season 2 by Sagar's Art Stream was a grand celebration of Indian art, held at the Sukriti Art Gallery in Jawahar Kala Kendra, Jaipur, from April 5 to 8, 2024. The exhibition brought together a wide array of artworks from both emerging and established artists, showcasing a rich blend of traditional and contemporary styles. The event was inaugurated by prominent guests, including Romendra Sagar, Pupul Sagar Pushkarna, and Vikram Rawal, who are dedicated to promoting Indian art globally. The exhibition highlighted the diversity of Indian art with captivating paintings, mixed media, and installations, offering both art lovers and collectors an opportunity to engage deeply with the evolving art scene. Palette Redefined – Season 2 reinforced Sagar’s Art Stream’s commitment to creating meaningful connections between artists and a global audience, fostering a deeper appreciation for the vast artistic talent India has to offer.
The event commenced with an elegant inauguration ceremony on March 29 at 5 PM, drawing in a large audience of art enthusiasts, collectors, critics, and media representatives. The presence of esteemed guests—Padma Shri Tilak Gitai and Dr. Aarti Chopra—as chief guests added a layer of grace and prestige to the occasion along with invited artists – Romendra Sagar & Sneh Bhasin from Delhi. Their words resonated deeply with the artists and attendees, emphasizing the importance of platforms that empower emerging and established artists alike.
The venue, already iconic in its architectural design, was transformed into a visual wonderland. Sukriti Art gallery in JKK was thoughtfully arranged to reflect the individual themes and mediums of the artists while maintaining a cohesive narrative of the exhibition’s broader theme—a redefinition of palettes and perspectives.
One of the defining features of Palette Redefined Season 2 was its rich and inclusive curation by Vikram Rawal & Pupul Sagar. The participating artists hailed from different regions across India, each bringing a distinct cultural and stylistic essence.
The exhibition saw an incredible lineup of artists and photographers from across India. From Haryana, participants included Dr. Garima Shivhare (Ambala), Leslie Ferrer Fotedar (Faridabad), and Manisha Gupta (Gurugram). Karnataka was represented by Prof. Aparna Uma Raman and Dr. Bharath S. Rajpal from Bangalore. The capital, Delhi, featured Pratibha Pushkarna, Ambika Yadav, Amita Singhal, Anjana Prakash, and Amita Singh. Tamil Nadu brought in Mary Tina Shamli Pillay from Chennai. Rajasthan had strong participation from Shivani Joshi, Mugdha Khandelwal, Varsha Taneja, Shrishti, Nidhi Sharma, Maya Kaushal, Yojan Kumawat, and Shubham Gupta, all from Jaipur. From West Bengal, the exhibition showcased works by Sweta Agarwal, Renuka Murmu, Kalyan Kar, Suvankar Baral, Chaitali Mondal, Lovely Chanda, and Aditya Aryan, primarily from Kolkata. Representing Maharashtra was Harshada Salgaonkar (Mumbai), while Bihar had Ashish Patel (Patna), and Madhya Pradesh had Adarsh Dubey (Indore). Gujarat featured Mritunjay Sinha Jhala (Surat), Uttar Pradesh was represented by Pratima Bisen (Noida), and from Kerala, both Dr. Sunanda Sudhakarana and Sibi Sudarshan participated. Andhra Pradesh contributed H. A. Haripriya (Hyderabad), and Pupul Sagar represented Haryana NCR (Gurugram). The show was further enriched by the presence of invited artists Sneh Bhasin and Romendra Sagar, both from New Delhi.
